Merry Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas! We went to my dad's house for a party on Christmas Eve. We had lot's of family over for breakfast on Christmas morning. The boys had a blast opening their presents and they loved playing with their new toys. The big hit was the tricycles they got from their Grandma Pat. Devin insists on wearing his sunglasses while he rides his bike. It's quite funny. Although it was a nice day, I'm quite tired of hearing about Santa, Snowman, Penguin, reindeer and lights. Their language development has taken off. They just babble all the time. Everyday I'm amazed at the things that come out of their mouths.

I hope all of you had a nice holiday! Love, Claire

Fall Photos

I just found these Fall photos. Logan would not wear his hat in the sun all summer but he will wear "Dada's hat" just about anytime as a fashion statement. They had a blast in the leaves at my grandparent's (Gran & Al's house.) They are so very busy! Learning numerous words everyday. Exhausting and amazing!!!!! Love to all!!!

More photos

This is our newest calf at less than 12 hrs old. The other photos are from our apple cider adventure. Devin was very interested in helping make the cider and the mechanics of it. While Logan performed quality control, he took one bite out of at least 100 apples.

New Photos

Ok, I know it's been months. Sorry! I have a ton of pictures so we'll start with early Sept, when our friend Kat was here. We have been very busy getting ready for winter and taking the boys on fun adventures. We have been going up to the ranch every other weekend. Chad has been building a barbed wire fence with his dad and brother's. They are making a winter feeding pen for the cows. Our last calf for the year was born last weekend. We got to see it within 12 hours of being born. It was so cute. We have also been collecting fire wood for ourselves and my mom. We finished harvesting the garden and did the last of the canning. Since I last blogged, the boys had their first bowling experience, we took them to the zoo and the Children's Museum. They love to visit the pet store. They both love to look at the fish. We also picked apples and made fresh pressed apple cider. That's about all I can think of right now. Hope some of you out there still check this every now and then. Love to all!

Recent pics of the kids

The boys love to fly around the house with Papa in their capes. Sometimes I think Papa has more fun than they do :) The picture of Logan sleeping just blows me away. He used to fit in the palm of my hand and he looks so big in his crib now. Crazy!!
We've been enjoying lot's of veggies from the garden in Manzano. Sherrie has done such an amazing job! We have more than we can eat. Sherrie has been canning up a storm. I just can't get over how beautiful they are and tasty too! Hope all is well with you!

Long Beach!!

Chad and I left the boys in Santa Fe and went to visit Sam and Briana in Long Beach. The boys had a blast with their grandparents. I honestly don't think they missed us much. As for me, it was hard to leave them. I wanted to cry all the way to the airport but I got over it. It was a really nice break! It was great not to cook or clean for 3 days. Sam and Briana's new house it really nice. Sam had a birthday party for Chad and Mike. It was really nice to see everybody! We went to the beach and did a little shopping but mostly just relaxed. Here are some pics.

Dirty Times

This is what happens when you take toddlers camping. They were covered in dirt from head to toe within 10 seconds. Chad has the week off so we are enjoying ourselves!

Adventures!

We have been very busy lately going to birthday parties, graduation parties, and retirement parties. The boys have been well socialized lately. We went to Pecos yesterday for a picnic by the river. We had our last music class last week so I will have to find a new activity for us. Logan is starting to walk a lot and it is obviously very thrilling for him. He just squeals and smiles with his arms in the air for balance. Everyday they amaze me!

Weekend at the ranch

It was our weekend to work at the ranch so the boys got to help feed the cows. They enjoyed seeing the big animals but were mad they could not play with them. The two small white and brown calves are a pair of twins we have, really cool. Claire can relate to the difficulties the momma cow goes through feeding both at once!!
