Well it is December and the dudes are fantastic. We had a great thanksgiving and now Devin and Logan are ready for Christmas. Devin has two teeth showing on the bottom and he sure loves to use them. Logan is taking it all in and eating like crazy. Their Tio Sam is coming into town and Dad has some vacation so life is good for all. Devin has got his crawling technique down and Logan is really trying. Here are few pictures for your enjoyment.

Cute pictures

I don't have much time to write but here are some cute pictures that we took this weekend. Devin is on the left in the big picture and the one with the naked butt. You can usually tell them apart because Logan has bigger cheeks and less hair. I hope all are well!

Swimming on the floor...

Hi everyone, sorry it's been a while. There have been many new developments. The most hilarious right is when they swim on the floor. They both get on their tummy's and kick their legs and paddle their arms as hard as they can trying to get somewhere. They get really frustrated. I see crawling in our future and it scares me! Both guys are sitting up and eating three smashed food meals a day. I am still breastfeeding, which has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life. Devin still will not take a bottle and Logan gags the second formula touches his lips so there is no end in sight. I just keep at it because I know it's the best thing I can do for them and they are getting plenty plump. They are both about 16lbs now and happy as can be. I have lot's of help and a couple of mom friends to hang out with. Devin sleeps 12 hours through the night and Logan only gets up once or twice so I'm getting a lot more sleep. As Chad says, "there are a lot of things in life that are over rated but SLEEP IS NOT ONE OF THEM." We have both been continually reminded of this in the past 7 months. As you can see Grandpa Guy has been preparing them for their first Halloween. Logan is the smily baby and Devin has the don't mess with me look. We've been bad about taking pictures so all of these are a little outdated. I will try to update this again soon with more recent pictures. I hope you all are well! It's getting cold here so we are preparing for winter. Today it's 45 degrees and rainy. Yuck!

Rolling Over

Hi everyone, Devin rolled over this week and Logan is babbling up a storm. They are both really starting to play with toys and improve their coordination. We weighed in at the doctor this week when they got some vaccines. Devin is 14lbs 6oz and Logan is 13lbs 12 oz. Devin is in the stipped shirt and Logan is in the red and holding the zuccini. Devin is on the left in the other pics.

Smiles and Giggles

Sorry we haven't updated this in a while! We have been very busy. Chad and I rented our house out and we moved to a house that we are renting from my dad. It's a bigger house for us and a bigger yard for Apollo. My dad is giving us a great price which is one of the factors that allowed me to quit my job so I can be with the boys full time. We also went to Phx for a long weekend. They did really well on the airplane but getting through the airport with 2 kids and all the gear was pretty wild!! The guys were 4 months on July 16. Devin was 13 lbs 6 oz and Logan was 12 lbs. Logan is catching up! They are full of smiles and giggles! They are begining to play with toys and to show interest in the world. It's amazing to watch them discover! However some days I wonder if I'm going to survive until Chad gets home, so far so good :) I'm not sure anyone still looks at this blog. If you do, please put a comment in so I know to keep updating it. Thanks!! I hope all is well with you!!

GROWING GROWING GROWING

The boys are growing like little mini weeds!! We have not been to the doctor in a few weeks but our best guess is that Logan is about 9 lbs. and Devin is about 11.5 lbs. Pretty good for 11 weeks later. Tomorrow will be the 11th week and their progress changes daily. Devin is trying really hard to roll over and he is about half way there. Devin can certainly throw fits pretty good and Logan seems happy doing anything. It doesn't seem to matter who is holding Logan or what he is doing but he is pretty content. They are both smiling all the time, especially when they hear mommy talking to them. Claire is doing great and loving every moment. She has a return to work date set and will be going back part time. Here are some new pictures that were taken this week but they already seem different.

WOW!!

Sorry for the delay in the new posting, who knew babies were so much work!! The boys are now six weeks old and doing fantastic. They are gaining weight and changing every day. Devin has grown more than Logan, (last time we weighed them Devin had gained 19 oz. in one week and Logan 10 oz.) but Logan is catching up in length. Devin is 7lbs. 8oz. and Logan is 5lbs 3oz. Claire and I are coping with some sleepless nights and juggling but loving our new roles. We have been getting so much support which makes things so much easier.

The boys pretty much eat, sleep, dirty diapers and grunt (especially Devin, he was evicted from the crib in our room to his own room). Our household proudly disposes of about 20-25 dirty diapers per day, sorry trash man. The boys are truly amazing, beautiful and even challenging at times. Claire is an incredible, nurturing mother to them and there is no shortage of love for them. Here are some new photos of the growing Riebsomers.

12 days and counting!

Devin and Logan are now 12 days old and both doing well. Devin is over 5 lbs. and Logan is close to 4 lbs. We are hoping that Logan will be over 4 lbs. by our next appointment on Wednesday. Both boys are nursing well and growing more and more every day. Claire and I can already see differences in their personalities. These first two weeks of their lives have been truly amazing and their growth and development continue to surprise Claire and I. We would like to thank everyone for their support during the labor and these last two weeks and as I prepare to go back to work next week, we will need all the support we can get.

The long awaited arrival

Devin James was born at 7:17 in the morning and weighed 4 lbs. and 14.6 oz and Logan Terrence was born at 7:37 am and weighed 3 lbs. and 15.4 oz. Devin was 18 inches long and Logan was 16 inches long. Both boys were healthy and did not have to have any oxygen. They have mild jaundice but that was expected for premature babies. The labor was long and very hard on Claire. We checked into the hospital on Thursday afternoon and they were not born until Sunday morning. They had to induce labor due to high blood pressure and it took every induction method that they could think of. Claire was amazingly strong and I have never seen anyone endure so much and still have the strength to push two babies out. We are all starting to recover and it is good to be home, we were released from the hospital on Tuesday evening. I will add more later but here are some pictures to get started.

Predictions

Lita is at the 35 week mark which is a very good thing. She is working very hard at taking care of herself and the growing boys (4 lbs. as of March 3). Everything has been good and we are starting to get anxious. The preparations have been made in the boy's room and all we need now is two boys to fill the crib and start using some of the diapers. By request, there are some new pictures (even one of Lita from behind for Kat, she does not even look pregenant!!). We are also taking predictions now on the date. If you get it right you can baby-sit first (more of a reward for us but oh well, who is having the babies here). So far these are what we have

  • Grandma Mary Jo - March 28

  • Tio Sam - Lakers Suck (March 29) but Lakers still suck

  • Trish - March 21 (Full Moon)

  • Patrick - April 1

  • Grandma and Grandpa Riebsomer - Their birthday's of course, April 1 and 2 respectivley

Post your predictions so you can reap the benefit of our reward. We may even think of a better gift! If it helps, the 40 week due date would be April 15 but the doctor would be happy if she makes it to 38 due to multiples. Hope everyone is well!
